The HIFU
the FDA approved
first.
Ultherapy Prime is the original FDA-approved HIFU device from Merz Aesthetics. Featuring real-time ultrasound imaging, it's the only HIFU that lets the physician SEE exactly where energy is being delivered — surgical-grade precision without incisions.
At a glance.
The only HIFU that lets your doctor see beneath your skin in real time.
Ultherapy Prime from Merz Aesthetics is the world's first FDA-approved HIFU device, used in over 1.5 million treatments globally. Its unique DeepSEE imaging technology lets your physician visualize the deep facial layers in real time — ensuring energy is delivered precisely to the SMAS muscle layer (4.5mm depth) for surgical-grade lifting. At JRYN Seomyeon, treatments range from ₩990,000 (300 shots) for targeted areas to ₩2,500,000 (1,000 shots) for comprehensive face and neck rejuvenation.
The science
,
simplified.
Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and compare with alternatives.
DeepSEE imaging visualization
Before each shot, ultrasound imaging shows the exact tissue layers. Dr. Lee sees skin, fat, fascia, and muscle in real time — and adjusts placement to avoid bones, vessels, and nerves while maximizing therapeutic effect.
Focused ultrasound delivery
Ultrasound energy passes harmlessly through the skin surface and concentrates at depth (1.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.5mm). Microscopic coagulation points form, where collagen fibers contract immediately and rebuild over months.
SMAS-level lifting
The 4.5mm depth is the SMAS layer — the same layer surgeons tighten in a face lift. By treating this layer non-invasively, Ultherapy delivers true lifting (not just surface tightening) without surgical incisions.
Months of natural rebuilding
Results unfold over 90 days as new collagen and elastin form. Final lifting peaks at 2–3 months and lasts 12–18 months. Annual maintenance treatments compound benefits over years.
